• IQT QUALITY SEAL: The IQT quality seal comes from the need to provide the necessary quality to all the tourist establishments within the Balearic Islands, fulfilling the Permanent Modernisation Plan included in the general tourism Law (Law 2/1999, from the 24th of March). The IQT, first step of awareness and sensibilization towards quality, establishes some requirements according to the infrastructure, service and sector type. Periodical monitoring and improvement plans take place in order to check and fulfil such requirements. The IQT seal is the starting point both for the company and the businessman to be able to choose the most convenient systems with the support and counselling of the Instituto (ISO 9001, ISO14001, Q of ICTE, EFQM).

• DESEASONALIZATION PRODUCTS: With the target of diversifying and specializing our tourist offer, we have created various products that favour the deseasonalization with a promotional character and the extension of the offer in the Balearic Islands. Within this project we can highlight in general lines the creation of:

o Specialized Establishments

• QUALITY TOURIST DESTINATIONS: The main target is to start a program of tourist destinations, with the total revision of such destinations through the application of the sustainability principles. This implies to question and revise the tourist development from the financial and social point of view and its repercussion to the environment, etc... but mainly, from a point of view of development and global planning of quality.

• TRAINING AND SENSIBILIZATION:

o To external degree: According to the needs of the sector, appropriate training for the different sub sectors will be arranged through both on-line and attendance courses, etc.

o To internal degree: Appropriate training will be available for all the staff in order to improve the quality counselling services.

• EUROPEAN PROJECTS: The IQT, expert in Environmental and Quality Management systems has taken part and takes part, whether as partner, collaborator, or leader, in the following European projects.

o NAUTISMED: The aim of such a project is to diversify the different kinds of tourist flows in the Mediterranean countries. This diversification is headed towards the need to find a quality environmental friendly tourism, different to the traditional tourism exclusively headed towards "sun and beach".

o EQUIBAL: European project belonging to the EQUAL Initiative that aims to promote equality and participation and to integrate and reconcile working and family life.

o FILOXENIA: aims to prevent and eradicate racism and xenophobia in the working environment of the different geographical areas of the Balearic Islands where is being developed. The basic idea is to highlight the positive elements that foreign population provide to the improvement of the working and cultural environments.

o CAPITAL BLAU: European project belonging to the MEDOCC -Interreg IIIB Mediterrània Occidental- Initiative, which aims to create an strategy of territorial development and urban system promoting the blue sector services: nautical and cruises.
